Welcome

Oregon Spine and Physical Therapy is a unique clinic that offers a continuum of care from rehab to fitness. We are passionate about finding the "root cause" to your problem, acute or chronic. This requires working with patients closely from the evaluation through the end of their treatment. Your treatment will not only include determining the cause, but treating it and teaching you how to prevent the problem from recurring.

Your sessions are with a physical therapist only, they are movement and exercise based once " the cause" is determined, thus maximizing your results.

HOW TO GET IN TO SEE US

There are 2 most common ways to gain access into our clinic:

  1. Referral from another care provider: your doctor, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, chiropractor, naturopath, dentist, podiatrist are examples
  2. Self referral: you can come on your own *

* Oregon is a direct access state which means that patients can refer them selves to physical therapist without seeing another medical provider first. Although there are many insurance companies that follow this state law and allow you to be seen, there are many that still require a prescription (referral) from your care provider.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR VISITS

  1. EVALUATION: Each patient's care begins with a specific evaluation, which involving history, specific objective tests, movement exam, correlating what your report and what we find during the testing. From here we set GOALS specific to both our objective findings, pre-injury function and most importantly what you want to achieve from your care.
  2. EDUCATION: teaching you about what we find on the evaluation and during each visit, what our findings mean for your recovery and what you will need to do to get better, restore function and prevent recurrence of the problem.
  3. TREATMENT: includes movement, exercise, teaching, specialized mobilization and manual therapy techniques, exercise tech and how to return to exercise / fitness activities while protecting and preventing re-injury / re -aggravation.
